He mentioned the hOveround again last night (friday's show). Even if he knows he is pronouncing in wrong, and he may, he just doesn't give a shit.

Sometimes what you think a word sounds like will get engraved in your brain even if its wrong. Like when you read a book and someone might have a crazy name or there is some new technology that gets "invented" in the story. You might have it one way in your head but five years after you read it, they make the movie and it's all different. I suppose the movie could be wrong as well.

None of this is an excuse for Phil. After all, the hoveround is advertised on TV and they clearly say it the right way, several times. He must just be a retard.

For the record, we say hover correctly in Minnesota.
And we don't sound like the people in Fargo. At all.

Carry on.

He butchered it up again friday night during the vernon bit. hoe ver round? Seriously? I can only conclude he is doing this on purpose to piss us normals off.

This is a hoveround
Image

Here is the commercial with them actually pronouncing the word

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GWZp1U2iS4

Maybe Phil just read an advertisement for it, but I doubt it. It is either the LSD affecting his speech or he is going senile or what I don't know...

More of examples of how normals speak:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40S8G2ZuRpE

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=hover&aq=f

It bugs me that he keeps saying he's been a broadcaster for over 30 years but can't pronounce simple words. I can understand him screwing up if he was trying to pronounce the name of some new jihadi dirtbag, but come on already.

It's only a matter of time before that LSD damage to his brain impairs his ability to walk. The next step is to call up the nice people of hoveround to get one.

After repeatedly asking for a hoe-veround and getting puzzled responses from the operator, his rage builds and builds and he finally snaps and goes into a "flashback fury". Next thing he knows he wakes up in a padded white room in a straight jacket with no visible doors or windows.

If this were 12 years ago, this could have been a great Bonafide bit perhaps with Sadler on to explain how the Flashback Fury was beyond his control and Harvey could have been defending him.

Now, Phil is becoming Loyd.

LOL at the hover shoes vid.

It's hard to know if Phil is just fucking with the normals or not. On the one hand you've got "Wik-pedia"...Then again, there's Margaret with "chim-pon-zee" in a ton of bits.

I'll go with - he's just a dumbass.

Unfortunately number 3 is apparently not for Macs. Why was it banned from YouTube.

It was banned for anything you can think of.. racism, vulgar sex references.
If you click on "Download" on that page you can get the actual file, then you need a flv player for Mac. I'm a PC/Linux guy so I don't know of one.

The first video is much better than the second. After the fall in the first one, the second was so anticlimactic. Just some idiot spinning around and giggling.

Ok, it was kind of funny. :)

I had tried to download, but it just kept going to the player. This was Firefox. Then I tried Safari, and the damn thing played.
